Coastal RC Rules

General Track Rules

Section 1 

1.1- SXT Lite or SXT Regular are the only permitted tire sauces. No others are permitted. 


1.2- LiPo sacks REQUIRED for all battery charging 


1.3- A completed waiver must be on-file for all participants 


1.4- All off-road vehicles are REQUIRED to use a chassis protector and shock tower protectors.

      1.4.1. Chassis protectors can be commercially available or handmade vinyl-type material which shall cover all fasteners on the underside of the chassis, to protect against track surface damage, should a fastener loosen. 

      1.4.2. Shock tower protectors must be of an approved type and affixed to any shock tower that extends above the body to protect the carpet from the exposed hardware in the eventuality of an overturned vehicle.


1.5– ROAR rules shall be the standard followed, unless otherwise specified 

     1.5.1. Can be found at http://www.roarracing.com/rules.php 

     1.5.2. This is to include body, motor, ESC, dimensions and weights 

     1.5.3. Any deviations from specified nationally available/accepted rules are at the discretion of Coastal RC and/or detailed as follows 


1.6– The rules listed here are NOT all-inclusive, please refer to the referenced rules for further clarifications, this includes ROAR.


1.7- Turn Marshaling: Upon finishing a heat, drivers must immediately return to marshal the very next heat unless they are racing at which time, they should have a designated substitute.
